Android for AkzoNobel

Britton St, EC1

April 2012

Over the past few months we've been busy working on a new project for AkzoNobel, delivering an Android app framework for their global paint brands.

So far we've delivered nine variations to Google Play, for brands as diverse as Glidden in the US, Dulux in China and Alba in Argentina.

The app allows you to browse the paints available in your market, pick a paint colour from your photos, build colour schemes with suggestions and create a shopping list, once you're ready you can use the app to find your nearest store to collect your paint.

The 100k Club

Britton St, EC1

February 2012

Selling colours as a means to raise funds for Unicef is the purpose of Own a Colour. The campaign exists to raise as much money as possible, so it's with some delight that we watched the on site counter tick towards, then over, £100,000.

£100,000 is a real landmark and great number to hit when you consider that the minimum donation to buy a colour is just £1.

So many thanks to those who have already bought - or gifted a colour. This though, is no time to rest on laurels; there are 16.7 million colours for sale so Own a Colour has just scratched the surface. While £100k is great news that we're glad to share, we and all involved in the project want it to be a start point not an end point; we'd love to see another zero added to the total so Own a Colour now.

Own A Colour

Rome

September 2011

It's strange how things in life come around.

A year or so ago our good friends Rob and Si came over for a coffee to talk about this idea they had, we created a pact, charmed a few people, did lots of work and finally today in Rome we launched www.ownacolour.com with the earnest and ambitious idea to sell 16.7m colours for atleast £1 for the children's charity UNICEF.

In the past 6 hours we just reached £40k and are currently in a state of shock. A more comprehensive story to follow, for now thank you to everyone at AkzoNobel and UNICEF for all their help.
